Sodi is a well-known Mexican family who are descendants of Demetrio Sodi Candiani born May 9, 1837 and died March 30, 1904, major landlord of the Mexican southern state of Oaxaca and federal senator for the state of Michoacán for about 25 years, during the government of General Porfirio Díaz.

Among others, some notable members of that family are:

Demetrio Sodi Guergue, a lawyer who defended José de León Toral, the killer of President Álvaro Obregón, he was also Chief Justice President of the Court of the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice and the last Secretary of Justice in the government of President Porfirio Díaz. Federico Sodi Romero, (Demetrio's half brother) a well known criminal lawyer, famous in the early and mid '20s, author of several books, El Jurado Resuelve or the Jury Decision.

She was one of the first advocates for women rights in Mexico. Married with Alfonso Pallares del Portillo, architect; son of jurist Jacinto Pallares.
